How to Choose a Fragrance by Notes and Accords
Choosing a perfume becomes easier when you focus on familiar notes and the fragrance profile you enjoy. The Almerea assistant helps you find a fragrance by notes and accords, takes your selected category into account, and excludes unwanted ingredients. This makes it easy to choose a perfume and view all matching options from the catalogue. For more precise results, select only a few of the notes and accords that matter most to you.
How Does Fragrance Selection by Notes Work?
First, choose women’s, men’s, unisex or children’s fragrances. Then select the accords and notes that appeal to you. When matching perfumes by notes, their position in the fragrance pyramid is taken into account: top notes, heart notes and base notes. You do not need to look for a fragrance containing every selected element—the assistant will show you a range of suitable options.
How Can I Choose a Perfume if I Don’t Know the Names of All the Notes?
Start with the overall scent profile: fresh, sweet, woody, floral, citrus or another accord you enjoy. Then, if you wish, add familiar notes such as vanilla, musk, bergamot, rose or sandalwood. This makes it easier to choose a perfume, even without specialist knowledge of perfumery.
Can I Exclude Notes I Don’t Like?
Yes. Selecting notes to exclude is optional. If you specify an unwanted note, the assistant will not show fragrances that contain it. Once you have found a suitable fragrance, you can open its product page and order the 3 ml size to try the composition.
